West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin has today urged MPs to vote for the Withdrawal Agreement in a vote in the House of Commons tonight. The vote follows news that the Prime Minister and her negotiating team have secured further legal clarification on the Northern Ireland backstop which led to many MPs rejecting the deal in January. Harriett commented: “I welcome the extra work that the Prime Minister has put in to secure these further assurances from the European Union. “I continue to support the Withdrawal Agreement, which I will be voting for tonight and I urge my colleagues and MPs across the House of Commons to do the same. “People across West Worcestershire tell me that what they want is certainty, in particular the farmers and many businesses who trade with Europe and want to plan for the next weeks and months ahead. “I want to see the House of Commons respect the result of the referendum and vote now to secure an orderly departure from the European Union on March 29.”
