Malvern's growing technology business community is getting an extra boost with the confirmation of more than 100 new jobs at QinetiQ. The defence research company will be recruiting more than 100 new staff based at its Malvern site on St Andrews Road. The news comes as Malvern embarks on a transformation project which will see extensive new office space created around the Malvern Hills Science Park. West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin has been briefed on the growth plans and welcomed the news that QinetiQ was looking to expand in the town. Harriett commented: "QinetiQ is one of the largest employers in the county and it is great news to hear that they are planning to expand creating new high-skilled jobs in the town. "The expansion plan is the latest piece of good news for Malvern as the company develops plans to sell off some of its land creating much-needed growth space for other companies. "This is clear evidence of the business community's confidence in Malvern and a welcome boost, especially for young people looking to develop a successful and prosperous career in the town."
