West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin has today hailed the 'amazing' turnaround which has seen significant exam results success at Tenbury High School.
And Harriett praised the work of principal Adrian Price and his team delivering improved exam results leading to a great Ofsted report earlier this year. The school, which is now part of the Ormiston Academy Trust, had been in special measures since 2013 but the school was rated 'good' in the latest report.
The MP was given a tour of the school and was shown newly refurbished modern language and computer science classrooms made possible with the investment from the Academy Trust.
Harriett commented: "The principal, teachers and pupils have all been doing amazing work at the school leading towards vastly improved results and a great Ofsted report and I was pleased to be able to visit in person.
"The school has benefited from a series of improvement to the buildings including new English and Mathematics classrooms and these have clearly led to improved academic performance.
"As someone who studied languages at degree level, I hope that the latest new classrooms inspire local students to greater success.
"I have nothing but praise for Tenbury High Ormiston Academy and look forward to celebrating student successes for many more years to come."
Adrian Price added: "Everyone here is absolutely thrilled that Harriett took the time to visit our academy - it was a huge honour. I'm so glad we were able to show off all the good work students and teachers have been doing here and had such a great opportunity to celebrate our success with her."
