Park Home Residents Kick Up a Stink Over Sewage Row

West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin has today offered her support to residents living at a county park home site who are enraged by poor management of its waste system.

And the MP met with residents and local district councillor Jennie Watkins to discuss a catalogue of concerns regarding the upkeep of Three Counties Park near Pendock.

Harriett visited to the park to help to publicise dedicated Government assistance to help park home residents with their electricity bills and agreed to join the councillor asking Malvern Hills District Council to investigate the issues raised by residents.

Harriett said:

“I am grateful that a delegation of residents met with me and Jennie Watkins to hear their concerns and express frustration about the long list of issues they have with the park’s management.

“I am confident that their new district councillor will take these matters in hand, but I’ve also written to the chief executive of Malvern Hills to ask him to look into residents’ ongoing concerns.

“The reports passed on to me are extremely troubling – especially the issues with waste management and the septic tank – and I hope that together we are able to shine a light on concerns and encourage the site owner to take immediate action.”

Councillor Jennie Watkins added:

“Residents of the site have raised various problems impacting on their daily lives. many of which have been going on for a long time.

“I am grateful to Harriett in taking the time to join me and listen to these concerns so we can ensure the Council works with us all to find prompt solutions.

“It is vitally important that the rights of park home-owners are upheld and improvements are made to the management and services they pay for.”
