County commuters may get a welcome boost after a notorious pinch-point after transport chiefs scheduled it for improvements. Drivers using the A44 junction in Pinvin have contacted West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin asking her to intervene after long delays were reported. And after raising the issue with Worcestershire County Council, transport chiefs have confirmed that a bid is underway to improve the junction and speed up journey times for local people. Harriett commented: “The traffic lights at the A44 in Pinvin can cause local people delays, especially when large vehicles get caught up trying to cross the main junction. “I raised this matter with the county council and was delighted to hear that it has investigated this issue and penciled the junction for improvements. “The A44 is a vital route for commuters and it is essential that we make journeys as painless as possible for commuters and local residents. “I was pleased to be able to raise this matter and happy that the county transport team has now put the junction on its list of projects for improvement works in the coming years.”
