Harriett Baldwin has today disclosed the extent of the disappointment for Malvern families resulting in the sudden closure of the Civil Service Club in Spring Lane.

A list of parties planned for the rest of 2008 includes six weddings and at least nine special birthday celebrations.

The disclosure comes as Harriett Baldwin still awaits a response to her letter of March 17th from Sir Gus O'Donnell, Chairman of the national Civil Service Clubs.

Harriett Baldwin said, "This list gives a real sense of the extent to which this sudden closure will adversely affect the lives of literally hundreds of people."
