Harriett Baldwin has seen simulated views of the proposed wind cluster at Strensham and will object to the proposed development because of their visual impact.

She met with Alastair Smith of Wind Prospect this week to discuss the proposal with him. He was able to show Harriett a series of pictures simulating the visual impact of the proposed wind cluster, which would fall just inside Gloucestershire, north of the M50 at Upper Strensham.

Harriett Baldwin said, "Great care needs to be taken with the location of onshore wind farms. They are very tall - 125metres in this case - and so they can be seen from miles around. They are very obvious from Bredon Hill and they can also be seen from the Malvern Hills. Some people quite like their shape, but I feel they intrude into views from these Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. They also spoil views towards both these hills from many viewpoints in Gloucestershire and Worcestershire. There are lots of more industrial locations where these wind turbines would be more appropriately located."

You can see some predicted views on the Strensham Wind Cluster website | click here.
