Over 100 people joined Town Mayor, Tim Perry, and Chairman of Malvern Hills District Council, Sue Gill, at the reopening of the Lower High Street public toilets in Upton.

Refurbishing the toilets and reopening them was one of the Conservatives' key election pledges.

Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for West Worcestershire Harriett Baldwin who had spearheaded two rallies about the toilets in the town said,

"It is great to see local democracy at work. Closing the toilets was unpopular and fortunately local people had the opportunity to vote for change and get them reopened before they were sold off and closed forever."
