Harriett Baldwin joined Serena Croad, Leader of the Conservative Group on Malvern Hills District Council and Council candidates Joe Smith, David Watkins, Pat Mewton and John Waring to pick up litter in Priory Park and Barnard's Green on Saturday afternoon

Serena Croad, Leader of the Conservative Group on Malvern Hills District Council and Conservative District Council candidates Joe Smith, David Watkins, Pat Mewton and John Waring all joined other volunteers and Harriett Baldwin, Parliamentary Candidate for West Worcestershire to pick up litter in Priory Park and Barnard's Green on Saturday afternoon.

Priory Park was full of broken glass and cigarette ends, particularly around the bandstand. Serena Croad said, "I was shocked to see all the broken glass. It's a danger to all the people, children and animals who use the park. We obviously need a concerted effort after Friday and Saturday nights to tackle the after effects of drinking."

Barnard's Green Road was a treasure trove of drinks cans, plastic bottles and even half a bottle of blue vodka. The Common in Barnard's Green was also very litter-ridden with grocery bags and paper receipts.

Serena Croad added, "Barnard's Green roundabout itself was actually very clear, but there are other problem areas close by."
