County businesses are set to offer a world-class welcome to a wide range of embassies during an event hosted in Worcester. Over a dozen embassies have agreed to take part in an event hosted by Worcester Bosch on March 30 allowing county businesses to meet directly with the representatives from overseas markets. Representatives from the county council, Destination Worcestershire, UKTI, the local Chamber of Commerce, the Federation of Small Businesses and the Worcestershire LEP will also be on hand showing why the area is a great place to do business. Confirmed embassies so far are: Russia, Taiwan, Azerbaijan, Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Canada, USA, Macedonia, Serbia, Germany, India and Japan. Harriett Baldwin, MP for West Worcestershire, commented: “With the euro-zone crisis exerting a chilling effect on trade with our nearest neighbours, it is valuable to remember that there are lots of growing export markets. This event will do two things. “First, I hope that local businesses which have wider export ambitions will sign up to attend and network with senior diplomats. “It is also of huge benefit locally to bring embassies here to see our great county and to demonstrate why this is a great place to invest. “Many local companies have already confirmed their attendance. Space is limited so businesses should book a place at the event by contacting Sharon Curtis on 01684 585165.”
