West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin has offered her support to a Pershore charity which helps to keep less-able bodied sports fans on track.
Event Mobility, based on the Racecourse Road in Pershore, loans scooters and other mobility aids to people visiting major events ranging from the Royal Three Counties Show and the International Air Show at Fairford to Royal Ascot and the Burghley Horse Trials.
The company will be branching out into international waters later this year as it provides mobility scooters for the major golf tournaments and will be helping out at the Ryder Cup in Paris.
Harriett met with the charity to talk about their work which allows elderly and disabled people to attend many of the UK’s premier sporting events and visitor attractions.
Harriett commented: “I have seen the mobility scooters in operation whenever I visit Malvern’s Royal Three Counties Show and it is heartening to see such an impressive organisation thriving in Pershore.
“The charity delivers a vital service for less able bodied people and I am happy to support them. They are always on the look-out for volunteers and trustees, so I am happy to spread the word to try and get more people on board.”
Event Mobility chairman Michael Harrison added: “We at Event Mobility were delighted to be able to acquaint Harriett with our work. Her enthusiasm and full endorsement is much appreciated as the charity moves into its 20th season".
