West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin has offered her backing for a national campaign to raise awareness of people suffering from arthritis. Harriett joined MPs from up and down the country at a briefing event in Westminster held by Versus Arthritis, which carries out research into the condition. The organisation also helps sufferers by producing a range of products to help with people’s mobility and improve their quality of life. Harriett said: “Arthritis can be a very painful condition which seriously affects some people’s lives and it was insightful to hear the personal stories of arthritis sufferers. “I am sure that most people know someone who suffers from arthritis and as we have an increasingly aging population, this will become a more prominent problem across the country. “I support the work of Versus Arthritis, both in raising awareness of the condition and also helping people whose lives are blighted by it.”
