West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin joined local people celebrating the efforts hundreds of big-hearted fundraisers who trekked over the Malvern Hills to raise money for Help for Heroes.
Harriett presented medals to finishers at Malvern’s Priory Park as they arrived from the charity walk in perfect weather conditions.
The long route over the Malverns is 17 kilometres long and takes in 16 hills and 3,000 feet of climbing. Over 350 people took part raising over £10,000 for the armed forces charity.
Harriett commented: “I was delighted to be asked along again to congratulate the finishers, and to present medals to the walkers and rosettes to the dozens of dogs who also enjoyed the late summer exercise.
“Help for Heroes is a tremendous cause and it is heartening to see so many local people literally going the extra mile to raise much needed funds.
“Well done to the participants, who have raise thousands of pounds for such a great cause and thanks to the many volunteers who gave their time to make this event such a great success.”
