Leader of the Conservative group Serena Croad said, "I am very pleased that the Liberal Democrats voted for our motion, as it does mean that the toilets in Upton, Malvern and Tenbury Wells will not be sold off before May, when people do have a chance to vote on the issue in the District Council elections. We have pledged to reopen them if we regain control of the Council, and it would be a travesty of democracy to sell them now."
Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for West Worcestershire Harriett Baldwin said, "I'd like to thank everyone who came to our demonstration in Upton on Saturday. But make no mistake, if you want to see the toilets reopened, we need to win control of the Council. Liberal Democrats voted one way yesterday, but they''ll sell the toilets off in two months time if they retain control of the council. They are political flip-floppers who have no intention on keeping the toilets going."
