Worcestershire MPs will this week kick off an export drive aimed at creating growth and jobs in the region.
The MPs have gathered a group of leading local businesses to meet with representatives from more than a dozen countries.
The event is aimed at helping Worcestershire businesses to increase their export capability as well as putting the county on the map for foreign trading partners.
The event has been created by West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin and is being hosted by one of the county’s leading exporters – Worcester Bosch – on Friday March 30.
Stourbridge MP Margot James will speak on behalf of the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and Mid Worcestershire MP Peter Luff will also address the gathering, promoting the county to international guests.
More than a dozen embassies will be attending including Russia, Taiwan, Azerbaijan, Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Canada, USA, Macedonia, Serbia, Germany, India and Japan.
Harriett commented: “I hope this export event will allow some of our local businesses to make important first strides towards exporting their products and services.”
