Harriett Baldwin MP has called on people to speak up to get faster broadband connections for Malvern.
And the MP has called on local people to get in touch with their internet horror stories ahead of a meeting with a senior BT director.
Harriett has invited senior BT figures to meet with her and local people to talk about broadband upgrades across the region.
Ahead of that meeting, she has asked people to contact her to find out what people think about their current broadband service..
Harriett said: “My postbag is full of letters and e-mails from people who are not happy with their broadband connections.
“Because of this, I have asked to meet with BT to find out exactly what they are planning to do to ensure the whole of the area can buy the connection that they want.
“I know that some people are happy with their service so I have joined forces with the Malvern Gazette to try and find the whole story behind our internet connectivity.
“I would asked people to get in touch with me or the Gazette over the next two weeks and tell us what they think about the current services.
“I will then pass on this information to BT and if necessary, see what we can do help. People should also log their interest with their ISP provider and with the County Council.”
“I congratulate the Gazette team for their hard work on this issue as well as the District Council which is also lobbying BT for improved connections.
“Maybe BT will be able to deliver an early Christmas present for thousands of people who pay the same prices for a fraction of the service as those enjoyed in our major cities.”
