West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin has today welcomed a plan which will see cats’ eyes installed on a stretch of road between Malvern and Powick.
Harriett wrote to the council on behalf of a constituent who suggested that the installation may increase road safety along a fast moving stretch of road.
Worcestershire County Council’s Jon Fraser has this week confirmed that the stretch of road between Powick and Newlands will get cats’
eye early next year.
Harriett said: “I am grateful for the county council for moving so swiftly and positively on this request.
“The A449 is a vital road link between Malvern and Worcester and it is essential that we make it as safe as possible to prevent accidents.”
