Mobile phone operator EE has promised a second phase of signal enhancements to help local people get better mobile phone service in Upton-upon-Severn. Last year, West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin confirmed that one mobile phone operator – EE – had confirmed plans to deliver 4G signals to the town. Some users are already able to get the next-generation phone signals and the company is aiming to deliver greatly enhanced coverage in the coming months. Harriett commented: “I am fully supportive of any mobile phone operator who is willing to invest in enhancing mobile phone coverage in rural parts of West Worcestershire. “The mobile phone companies are carrying out a £5 billion programme to upgrade rural signals and I hope that local people are able to enjoy better coverage sooner rather than later. “I am grateful for the updates from EE and look forward to seeing more people able to access 4G signals both in Upton and other parts of the county.”
