West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin has urged local people to have their say as part of a review of local health services.
South Worcestershire Clinical Commissioning Group - local GPs acting as our personal shoppers - is conducting a survey of people’s view on a range of services which will help to decide spending priorities over the coming years.
And Harriett urged as many people as possible to make sure they have their say on this crucial issue by filling in the questionnaire.
Harriett commented: “The CCG acts as our personal shopper for medical services, so it's important they know our preferences. This year the CCG had a total of £448 million to spend in South Worcestershire on our behalf – or £1,483 per person.
“I met with the CCG management last week for a regular catch up on the local health service and the current survey was discussed.
“Personally, I feel that we should do all we can to use our precious community hospitals and the minor injuries services and I know many people agree with me.
“I have filled out the survey and I am keen to spread the word to urge local people to have their say and help the CCG to make the right decisions about future services.
“The findings will be made public in June and I look forward to having further discussions with the team once the people’s priorities are known.”
The closing date for responses is May 30, and local people can fill out the survey online at: https://www.snapsurveys.com/wh/s.asp?k=145692897498
