West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin is ramping up her campaign to win over undecided voters in the European Union referendum next month. Harriett will be voting to remain in the EU on June 23 and she has been taking part in a whistle stop of the UK tour to convince voters to choose to stay in Europe. The MP will also be taking part in local debates on the issue as well, speaking at a Chamber of Commerce debate at Stanbrook Abbey on May 27, St Andrew’s Church in Ombersley on the same day and a debate at Pershore Baptist Church on June 3. Harriett is also teaming up with Malvern resident and former Labour Home Secretary Jacqui Smith to campaign locally at events across West Worcestershire. Harriett commented: “As the Government Minister for financial services, I have been involved in the national campaign to make the case for us to vote to remain in Europe. Around 285,000 jobs across the UK depend on our access to the single market passport in financial services, our biggest export sector. Over the coming weeks I will be taking part in local events too. “I am convinced that as a country we will be stronger, safer and economically better off staying in Europe and keeping our access to the Single Market will mean more jobs, lower prices and more financial security for local families. “I have dedicated an area of my website full of facts for undecided voters. This is an issue that affects each and every one of us and the stakes could not be higher as it is an irreversible decision. I hope West Worcestershire people will vote to remain in the EU on June 23.”
