West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin has today urged people who are still undecided on how to vote in the European Union referendum to quiz the experts at an event in Malvern next week. Harriett with be joined by former Home Secretary Jacqui Smith and the Bishop of Worcester to answer questions from undecided voters at the gathering at Malvern Cube on June 21 starting at 7pm. The event will be chaired by county EU expert, emeritus Professor Evelyn Ellis and will also feature contributions from Jackie Smethurst from Malvern’s Green Party. Harriett commented: “I have assembled a group of experts to answer a wide range of questions from those who are still undecided about how they intend to vote on June 23. “Most events I have attended have featured those people who have already made up their mind. All of the guests on our panel want to talk to help to inform those who have not yet reached their decision. “This is an once-in-a-lifetime decision and it is essential that people are properly informed by fact rather than rhetoric and I am concerned that there are sections of society – especially young people – who are simply being turned off by the shouting. “I would like to run a calm and measured session to help inform local people of the facts to help them make up their mind.”
