Pupils across West Worcestershire will be using state-of-the-art classrooms for the first time following major Government funding for new school buildings.
Hanley Castle High School is using its new sixth form centre this term and pupils are also using new classrooms at Pershore High School and the Chase thanks to the fund. Additionally, Worcestershire County Council has built new classrooms for Tenbury High School.
Harriett Baldwin, MP for West Worcestershire, welcomed the fund which will give local pupils access to some of the best facilities available for learning.
Harriett commented: “I lobbied hard to help to secure the funding for the new sixth form block at Hanley Castle and have worked with local teachers who have asked for help to press their case within Westminster.
“The school buildings fund is an important investment in our local schools and local pupils, parents and teachers all do better with the best possible facilities.
“Hanley Castle is one of the schools benefitting from this £4 billion programme and I hope this inspires students to get better and better results.”
