West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin has urged Pershore commuters to have their say as Worcestershire County Council plans the design of the new Pershore Link Road. The county council has opened a consultation which will look at the new road which will connect the town centre with the A44. Harriett supported the bid for funding which will see the Local Enterprise Partnership and the county council invest an estimated £10 million in the scheme. The MP has been active helping to secure a speedy resolution to a hold-up which has seen commuters delayed by temporary traffic lights at the Persimmon Homes development at Station Road. And Harriett has urged the county council to take all views into account when considering the second phase of this road improvements along Station Road. Harriett commented: “Many people have views on the way traffic can flow better along Station Road and towards Wyre Piddle and this is their chance to influence the design of the new road. “While I do hope that the housing developer will fulfill its legal commitments and finish the junction, there must be proper local consultation on what the right long-term solution is. “I encourage as many local commuters as possible to get involved and share their views with the county council.
