A Malvern restaurant could be in the running for a cook-off at the House of Commons after it was nominated in a competition recognising the best in South Asian cooking. Anupam, on Church Street in Malvern, has been nominated by West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin in the annual Tiffin Cup which is now in its 14th year. Restaurants are judged independently with ten entrants selected to cook at a final in Westminster in July. The restaurant is a popular destination for theatre goers and Harriett has been a regular diner. Harriett commented: “We have some really good restaurants specialising in South Asian cooking in West Worcestershire and I have had one nominee go on to make the final cook off. “Anupam is very well-known locally as a regular place for pre- and post-theatre diners and I have been there quite a few times myself and have always enjoyed my food there. “I am pleased to put the restaurant forward for the competition and hope that they make it through the shortlisting to come and cook in Westminster.”
