West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin has welcomed news that a review is planned for speeding outside Malvern schools.
Harriett has contacted the Safer Roads Partnership after receiving complaints about fast traffic near to St Joseph’s Primary School and Dyson Perrins Academy in Malvern.
The Safer Roads Partnership has agreed to send officers to assess both areas and report back on potential action to improve safe traffic flow.
Harriett commented: “I have been getting letters from concerned constituents all over West Worcestershire about speeding and I share these with the Safer Roads Partnership, whose job it is to assess and recommend appropriate action.
“Speeding is one of the more common complaints, particularly in rural villages and measures like temporary speed indicators can act as a deterrent.
“I was concerned about reports of speeding outside schools and I am glad that these matters are under review. I look forward to reading the response and what actions are planned to make roads as safe as possible for road users and pedestrians.”
