West Worcestershire MP Dame Harriett Baldwin has offered her support to people affected by the serious flooding in Tenbury Wells and will host a special advice surgery session in the town this week.
The MP will visit businesses affected by the flooding on Friday (December 6) and she will be holding an advice and support surgery to assist people who need help.
Constituents can book an appointment by emailing harriett.baldwin.mp@parliament.uk or ringing 01684 585165.
Dame Harriett said:
“I’m saddened that Tenbury people are having to clear up from yet another flood and I share their frustration that a permanent flood scheme has been developed, but not started.
“I’ve been pressing Ministers to allow the Environment Agency to make progress and I am hoping that a final design will be published soon to be considered by the district council planning committee.
“I will be with my casework team in Tenbury on Friday and we can take up cases with local councils, Ministers or insurers as requested by affected constituents.”
