Harriett Baldwin calls on the Government to work with the county council to unlock potential further investment in Worcester Parkway station scheme and for a new bridge across the River Severn.
Harriett Baldwin (West Worcestershire) (Con): This week, a private developer announced plans to invest £400 million in private housing in Worcestershire; it is also going to help with the dualling of the southern link road. Will the Department commit to working with my county council to ensure that we use the opportunity to unlock further investment in Worcester Parkway station and a new bridge across the River Severn to the heart of cyber valley in Malvern?
Stephen Hammond: I am happy to assure my hon. Friend that we will of course be pleased to work with the county council, as we already do. I was delighted that we were able to approve the Worcester integrated transport scheme last year, and my door is always open should she wish to make the case for her constituents.
