Harriett Baldwin last week (Friday June 10) visited a rapidly-growing cyber security business which has relocated to Malvern. Technology company Deep-Secure is located in the Enigma Business Park and has been attracted to the town by the quality of life and the pool of expert talent in this area. The company is a world-leader in electronic communication security and works with a number of leading global and government clients helping to keep secret information secure. Harriett praised the company and the efforts of their 18-strong team to help defend against the increased threats from cyber terrorists. Harriett commented: “I was very impressed by the way Deep-Secure has created a hugely successful product in such a short timeframe since moving to Malvern just two years ago. “The team is yet another example of the excellent brains still being used in and around the town in our nation’s defence. “I have seen an increased hub of small businesses growing in this area and I have pledged to help in whatever way I can to ensure the success of such companies. From technology giants like QinetiQ to their smaller counterparts, cyber security is big business offering an important service and delivering new job opportunities.” Last week, Home Office Minister James Brokenshire outlined a series of measures to improve the way the nation deals with cyber threats including counter-terrorism measures. Harriett added: ”The world of cyber-security is a fast evolving environment and I am proud that our local experts are being called on to help develop proper cyber defences.
