Harriett Baldwin this week returned to Malvern rope manufacturer English Braids to celebrate company growth and new investments in manufacturing equipment.
The MP toured the Spring Lane site on Tuesday (August 30) and heard about the company's sales push, including into China.
English Braids has been based in Malvern for nearly 40 years and supplies rope and cord to industrial customers and their ropes can be found on some of the world's finest superyachts.
She was briefed on the company's recent successful sales campaigns including rope manufactured from specialist fibres such as dyneema.
Harriett commented: “English Braids is another example of a hugely successful company based in Malvern competing on the global stage.
“The company has continued to innovate, grow, expand manufacturing and they have won a number of big contracts over the last year.
“The company has an impressive reputation in its field and they are to be congratulated for their success.
“Malvern is home to a number of impressive manufacturing companies. As I tour the constituency, I continue to be amazed at the range of success stories and I pledge to work with Government and local authorities to make sure the conditions are right to support these companies to grow and thrive.
Malvern Braids will be attending a defence exhibition in London next months alongside a number of local companies including QinetiQ and Dytecna.
Peter Earp from English Braids commented: “I am a strong believer in the strength of British manufacturing and will strive wherever possible to fly the flag for British industry.
“It is always a pleasure to welcome Harriett back to English Braids to share our progress and successes in this exciting global market”
