Local MP Harriett Baldwin today met with the new intake of graduates to Malvern research company QinetiQ.
Many of the graduates are re-locating to Malvern to work in the town’s research and development teams.
The site has been at the forefront of invention for seven decades and the company hopes that this latest intake will spark a new generation of innovators.
Harriett commented: "I am delighted to be able to welcome a new intake of graduates to Malvern and wish them good luck as them embark on their careers with QinetiQ.
“I have been impressed with the high calibre of the people choosing to move to Malvern to start their careers. This is yet more evidence that Malvern’s reputation for brilliant brains is alive and well.”
QinetiQ is creating nearly 150 new job opportunities across the company and its cyber security and defence arms are both growing.
Harriett added: “It is gratifying to see that lots of new jobs for young people are being created in Malvern and this sends a great message to the wider community that QinetiQ is starting to hire again.”
