West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin has this week met with the new organisation which will speak up for children, young people and adults from all communities about the performance of local health services. Healthwatch Worcestershire was set up in April to help patients using health and social care services in the county to access the right services, get the best out of local health and social care services and influence the design of local services. The organisation is funded by Worcestershire County Council and has been set up by former councillor Peter Pinfield who acts as the body's first chairman. Healthwatch will assess the work of local health service providers based on the evidence of patients and work with the new GP-led clinical commissioning groups to ensure the best possible services for the county. Harriett commented: “Healthwatch met with me to explain their new role.
