Lcoal MP Harriett Baldwin this week offered her congratulations to QinetiQ’s Malvern team following a series of onsite technology demonstrations.
The MP was shown an early warning system to protect military bases from missile attack and a technology for scanning lorries to spot illegal immigrants. Both technologies are proving successful in the field and are attracting interest from foreign buyers.
Harriett commented: “It is very interesting to see some of the ground-breaking achievements made by the brilliant brains of Malvern and I am sure the whole site takes pride in the important job they do keeping us and our troops abroad safe.
“The scanner technology is making a huge difference to our border protection capability and the results are impressive.
“There is clearly a good international market for both of these products and I will continue to wave the flag for QinetiQ in Westminster and further afield.”
