West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin has praised the achievements of seven young local men who collected their Duke of Edinburgh Gold Awards.
Harriett made the presentations at Malvern Theatre in front of parents, Officers and the company of Malvern Boys’ Brigade on Saturday (January 4).
The Malvern company is celebrating its 25th anniversary since the brigade was re-founded in 1988 and Harriett was presented with a badge commemorating the occasion.
Harriett commented: “The gold Duke of Edinburgh award is a huge achievement and I would like to congratulate each of the seven award winners. For the brigade to be awarded seven is a record.
“These young men have learned valuable life lessons completing this achievement and I would like to thank the officers of the Boys Brigade and parents who have been supportive of the winners.”
