West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin today praised an innovative county business which offers pet owners the chance for their animals to enjoy five star accommodation while they go on holiday.
Harriett visited the Ridgeway Bank Cattery and Pet Boarding business, in Bredon, after they were featured in the “Grow in Wychavon” book from Wychavon District Council.
The business caters for most pets, except dogs, and specialises in looking after rare breeds of cats, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs and even exotic parrots.
Owner Marie Handy took Harriett on a tour of their business, where they also breed prize-winning rare chickens and produce free-range eggs.
Harriett said: “I met Marie at an event run by Wychavon District Council and was keen to visit her business.
“It is in a beautiful setting nuzzling between Bredon Hill and the Malverns and I hope that it continues to thrive and grow in this idyllic location.”
