Prime Minister David Cameron has praised an initiative backed by MP Harriett Baldwin to promote county businesses. Harriett hosted an event on behalf of Wychavon District Council to promote innovative businesses through a book called ‘Grow in Wychavon’. Although the PM was not able to attend, Harriett sent a copy of the book to him alongside a goodie bag including local produce and a personalised football shirt. David Cameron has written to Harriett thanking her for the pack and praised the efforts of Wychavon District Council. In his letter he said: “It is great to hear about how innovative businesses are succeeding in the West Worcestershire area. Small and medium sized businesses are key, especially in rural areas of the country, for our future prosperity and economic recovery.” The Prime Minister also asked Harriett to discuss the event with him in more detail at their next meeting.
