Harriett was invited to have lunch with staff and resident and was joined on the visit by Priory ward resident and local Rotarian Harry Tanner.
Harriett commented: “I was delighted to be able to welcome people who have chosen to move to Malvern because of its great housing set in beautiful scenery and boasting excellent local facilities.
“There is more and more need for extra-care housing in the county offering retired people the chance to live with a level of care nearby whilst retaining independence.
“This sort of housing is increasingly popular with couples where one partner needs extra support but they want to stay living together.
“I have made the case that we need more of this sort of housing in the South Worcestershire Development Plan and and I hope to see more assisted living schemes in the future across the county.”
