West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin has praised a Malvern technology company with ‘impressive’ plans to export the latest radar detection technology across the world. Harriett visited 3SDL, which is based at the Malvern Hills Science Park, on Friday (August 14) and was shown a demo of a radar detection system which is being used by NATO forces to identify threats. The technology has been developed in Malvern for use by the Ministry of Defence and will be now sold to other countries over the coming months. The company has recently taken on three new staff and also opened a sales office in Dubai to extend its customer base. Harriett commented: “It has been gratifying to watch 3SDL grow over the five years since I first met Dibble and the team. “Malvern has been synonymous with radar technology since the Second World War and it is great to seeing 3SDL continuing this tradition, developing the latest generation of products. “The company has some impressive growth plans and I have offered the company my continued support as it sells its innovative technology solutions at home and abroad.” 3SDL chairman Dibble Clark added: “Using our experience to develop software that helps nations collaborate, where before they largely worked alone, has been very satisfying.
