West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin led from the front when she met dozens of businesses which gathered in a county hotel to network with potential customers.
The MP formally opened the Festival of Business event which was attended by more than 80 organisations at the Bank House Hotel in Bransford, Worcester on Sunday (September 6).
The event was run by the team behind ‘Worcestershire Hour’ which is an initiative on the social marketing platform Twitter. For one hour a week, businesses gather on Twitter to network and promote their organisations.
Harriett met with dozens of small and medium sized businesses as well as a number of voluntary organisations.
She commented: “Worcestershire Hour is a great initiative which continues to encourage local companies to do businesses with each other.
“It is really positive to talk to so many business owners who are confident and enthusiastic about their prospects.
“I want to thank Stuart Allen for all the work he does promoting Worcestershire and the time he has put in to turn an online initiative into a successful real-world networking event.”
