West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin has helped to mark National Apprentice Week by offering her help to a county publican to find new recruits.
The MP has offered her help to publican Brynn Hazelwood who has taken over the newly-refurbished Anchor pub in Kempsey.
Brynn – who used to work in financial services before taking over the pub - is looking for extra staff, including an apprentice, as business booms.
Harriett said: “It was useful to have a chat with Brynn as he takes on the challenge of running a country pub.
“Kempsey is blessed with quite a few pubs but with an ambitious neighbourhood plan that helps the village to retain its character, I expect that the future is rosy for the Anchor.
“Bryn mentioned to me that he is looking to take on new staff and was investigating hiring an apprentice. Brynn himself has chosen to shift careers and he is keen to offer the chance for a young person to get a first step on a career in hospitality.
“I have offered to spread the word and have put him in touch with local advisers who may be able to assist.”
