West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin joined hundreds of local school children in a celebration to mark the Queen's 90th birthday in Upton-upon-Severn. The MP formally opened the celebrations and helped to lead singing alongside Britain's Got Talent local star Pippa Langhorne. More than 300 children from local schools enjoyed tea and cake prepared by the local Women's Institute as well as getting to enjoy a number of attractions. The fete was raising funds for Upton Primary School and also included a dog show and a bake off with the day commencing with a carnival procession through the town. Harriett commented: "It was great to see so many people enjoying the celebrations and it was an honour to open the fete on the occasion of the Queen's 90th birthday. "We are so lucky in this country to have such a wonderful Queen and Upton turned out in huge numbers to show their appreciation of Her Majesty. "I would like to thank and congratulate everyone who helped organise this great occasion, which I am sure will be fondly remembered by everyone who attended."
